Your Weekend Wedding at Edgewood Tahoe
If you want a venue that looks incredible from every angle and keeps the day feeling smooth and stress-free, an Edgewood Tahoe wedding is an easy yes. As a local Lake Tahoe wedding photographer, I’ve photographed multiple events here—everything from lakeside ceremonies to modern indoor receptions and engagement sessions. The beauty is already built in, which makes every moment feel (and look) effortless.

Set on the south shore on the Nevada side of the lake, this luxury resort and golf club sits right on the lake with year-round mountain views. It hosts 150 guests indoors or 300 outdoors on the 17th Green—perfect for intimate celebrations or full weekend events. Venue Spaces at Edgewood Tahoe
Ceremony Spaces
North Lawn (up to 150 guests): This is Edgewood’s signature ceremony spot and the space most couples choose. It sits right on the lake with open views, and a clean layout that photographs beautifully.

Reception Spaces
North Room (up to 150 guests): This is the most popular indoor reception space. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the water, and the room has a modern feel that pairs well with any style. It’s the primary indoor reception option at Edgewood.

Additional Spaces
North Room Deck (Cocktail Hour): After the ceremony, guests usually move to the North Room Deck for cocktails. It connects directly to the reception space and has panoramic lake views.
17th Green (Outdoor Event Lawn – up to 300 guests): The only space that accommodates up to 300 guests, the 17th Green is a completely blank slate—perfect for couples planning a high-end, fully customized event. This space requires a full-service planning team, full rentals, and often tenting. It’s an incredible option for large luxury weddings, but it’s also the most logistically involved and the highest investment.
South Room + Deck (Occasional Cocktail Hour / Small Events — Under Renovation Until 2027):
The South Room has traditionally been used for smaller gatherings or as an indoor cocktail hour option during winter weddings. However, it’s currently under major renovation through early 2027, and final capacity/usage details are TBD.

Tips for Couples Planning an Edgewood Tahoe Wedding
Edgewood has specific photography guidelines, with only certain approved areas outside your rented space.
Tip: build extra time into your timeline for moving between locations. I always help couples create a photo plan that feels relaxed, so you’re never rushing between spots.

When it comes to getting ready, choose a suite that fits your full wedding party. Hotel rooms can feel tight with hair, makeup, and family stopping by. A larger space keeps things comfortable, reduces clutter, and ensures your photos look clean.

Seasonal considerations: Each season offers its own unique vibe—planning ahead helps you make the most of it.
- Summer: book early; weekends fill fast
- Fall: best light, fewer crowds
- Winter: cozy indoor options, snow-covered mountains
- Spring: unpredictable weather but stunning backdrops
