A Private Beach Wedding in Incline Village, North lake Tahoe

Skyler and Beau’s North Lake Tahoe wedding landed on the perfect crisp October afternoon. They kept things intimate with a private lakeside ceremony and an elegant reception just down the road from the Hyatt—where they originally got engaged. The whole day centered on meaning, location, and the people who mattered most.

Most guests traveled in, so they wanted the experience to feel warm, relaxed, and un-rushed. The design stayed organic and minimal. Because of that, the whole day flowed in an easy and natural way.

The Night Before

The Welcome Party | The Hyatt in Incline Village

The weekend started with a low-key welcome party. Guests hung out, grabbed Tahoe-themed welcome bags, hats, koozies, and the cutest custom dog-illustrated napkins. The bride’s brothers gave a few heartfelt (and funny) speeches while everyone mingled and settled in for the weekend.

It was the perfect start to their multi-day North Lake Tahoe wedding—and if you’re planning something similar, you can read more about why multi-day celebrations are such a luxury experience here.

Getting Ready & Wedding Party Portraits

The Hyatt in Incline Village

The day began at the Hyatt in Incline Village, the same place they got engaged. It created a meaningful full circle moment. They got ready with their closest people and kept the morning calm and easy. They chose to skip a first look, saving that reaction for the aisle.

The bridesmaids looked amazing in dresses that fit the natural Tahoe setting, and the Hyatt made such a clean, pretty backdrop for wedding party photos before everyone headed to the ceremony.

Private Beach Ceremony

Burnt Cedar Beach, North Lake Tahoe

The ceremony took place on the lawn at Burnt Cedar Beach with a completely unobstructed lake view. White florals lined the aisle and the grounded arch kept the scenery wide open—honestly, the dream setup for a Lake Tahoe wedding.

When Skyler walked down the aisle, Beau teared up right away. It was one of those moments that makes saving the first look totally worth it. Another sweet detail I loved documenting was Skyler’s engagement ring, a family heirloom that’s been passed down for generations.

After the ceremony and group photos, the couple climbed into their vintage Packard getaway car and headed to the reception in the most effortless, stylish way.

Cocktail Hour & Sunset Portraits

The Chateau at Incline Village

After the ceremony, guests made their way to The Chateau at Incline Village for cocktail hour, greeted with a champagne wall and passed appetizers. Meanwhile, we headed back to the beach with Skyler and Beau for sunset portraits, just in time to capture that beautiful blue hour glow by the water.

Reception & Party

The reception kept things simple and classic—soft florals, candles, and a clean white cake with gorgeous bow details. Dinner was served family-style, followed by a few speeches, parent dances, and cake cutting. Emily and the Jálie Events team made the entire day run seamlessly. I’ve worked with Emily before, and she’s genuinely one of the best—calm, organized, and so easy to partner with.

If you’re planning a North Lake Tahoe wedding, the views are a given—but it’s the small moments that make the day feel like you. Lakeside vows, sunset portraits, and an easy, relaxed reception that comes together naturally.
