When planning a Lake Tahoe proposal, timing, light, and intention make all the difference. This early spring moment at Sand Harbor was everything M + N dreamed of: clear skies, calm water, and a private setting before the season rush. With help behind the scenes and a whole lot of heart, this shoot turned into one of the most personal moments I’ve had the honor of documenting.

WHY SAND HARBOR IS A TOP LAKE TAHOE PROPOSAL SPOT

Sand Harbor is hands-down one of the best Lake Tahoe proposal locations. Tucked along the East Shore, it’s known for its stunning boulders and gentle coves. It’s especially magical in the off-season—peaceful, crowd-free, and allows for those quiet moments that make a proposal feel intentional, not staged.

A SURPRISE YES—AND THE START OF EVERYTHING.

He told her they were heading to a birthday party. She didn’t suspect a thing. N got down on one knee on the beach, and the look on her face said it all. M said yes before he could even finish asking!

He’d reached out ahead of time for help planning the perfect proposal. From the timeline to the exact location, we made sure it would feel natural and low-stress, with space to just be in the moment.
