LAKE TAHOE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
How to Book Your Wedding Photographer
Whether you’re planning an intimate destination wedding or a grand affair close to home, my passion for travel and love for photography blend seamlessly to capture your joy in any setting. With boundless energy and a genuine love for what she does, I am committed to showing up for you, ready to immortalize every laugh, every tear, and every heartfelt moment. Behold, a complete guide on how to OFFICIALLY book me as your wedding photographer!
Step 1: Fill Out the Contact Form Via My Website
You can find the form here!
To begin the process of booking your wedding photographer, you’ll first have to inquire. Most photographers, including me, have a contact form on their website. This will collect the basic details, such as your name, wedding location and date, and what you’re envisioning for your special date. I personally respond to each of my inquiry emails (usually within a few hours!) to confirm my availability and provide next steps.
Step 2: Schedule a Discovery Call
Next, I work closely with each of my couples to create a custom tailored proposal for your wedding day. Because of this, the discovery call is one of the most important steps in the booking process. We’ll meet via Zoom to discuss your overall vision and priorities, answer your questions, and ensure that we’re a good fit for each other. When booking your wedding photographer, consider that they’re one of the few vendors that you’ll spend your entire wedding day with. Consequently, it’s important that you align well both professionally and personally.
Step 3: Choose the Collection That Works Best for You
After our discovery call, I will create and send your custom tailored proposal based on our conversations. This proposal is specific to your needs and desires for your wedding photography, and includes a few different options for you and your partner to consider.
Step 4: Pay the Retainer & Sign the Contract
The final step to booking me as your wedding photographer is to pay the retainer and sign the contract. I require 20% of your total collection cost as a retainer. Reminder, your date is not secured until this is complete. Afterwards, I’ll send a confirmation email detailing what to expect from me in the months leading up to your wedding!
Voilà! Your booking is official!
Don’t Worry, You’ll Still Be Hearing From Me!
Periodically, I will check in to see how your wedding planning is going. I love to hear about your day and am just as excited as you are to see your vision come to life. If you have any questions or need help, vendor recommendations, or just a listening ear, please reach out. It truly makes my day to hear from you!
What To Expect After Booking
8-10 Weeks Prior
I’ll send you a questionnaire to collect more detailed information about the wedding day (start times, ceremony address, etc.). This helps me draft up your timeline for photographs. Naturally, I work closely with your planner and other vendors to ensure we’re all on the same page.
The Wedding Day
Your wedding day is here! Revel in the moment and enjoy. It’s going to be the best day ever!
24 Hours After
You’ll receive sneak peek images the day after your wedding. It’s so hard to wait, so I aim to share as many as I can to prolong all of the newlywed bliss and excitement.
6-8 Weeks After
Your online gallery is delivered to your inbox! I’ll send your USB drive in the mail. If you ordered an album we’ll start the design process on that.
After you receive all your prints and deliverables, all that’s left to do is admire your wedding memories! Don’t be a stranger, I still LOVE to hear from you even after your wedding! By this point, I consider all of my legacy clients as dear friends. I hope this provides a clear guide on how to officially book me as your wedding photographer and helps you better understand what to expect along the way.
All my love,
Sarah
